Latest Traveler Review: Quite honestly, there is absolutely no reason to patronize this restaurant. Better food and atmosphere can be found elsewhere for less money. It does 95 percent of its business as a banquet hall for Senate staff/member occasions. It works in that regard because of its close proximity to the Senate. If you are attracted to the Monacle, try the Old Ebbit Grille instead: same menu, better food and atmosphere, and less money.
