Latest Traveler Review: It was about 11:00PM on a Wednesday night and my co worker and I were tired and hungry and desperately looking for someplace open to grab a bite. My dogs were hurting and we had tried to go into the restaurant on the street above this establishment and were turned away by the security guard and directed downstairs. We read the hours were to 2:00AM and walked in to see if this place served food. It was nearly empty and had one waitress and about four guys hanging around at the register. We sat down and the waitress seemed more than friendly enough. I ordered a flank steak burrito and my co worker ordered a cajun chicken sandwich. We were seated at one of the few tables right next to the speaker system. They were playing a Shanya Twain song not too blaring. My food came out pretty quick, but my friend waited, and waited and then asked the waitress who was chumming with a coworker at the jukebox about his food. The waitress said I'll get right on it and then chummed for another 15 minutes. I waited to dig in to be polite. We continue to wait about 30 minutes and then she brought out the sandwich with a minnow size piece of chicken breast on a huge bun. She apologized profusely saying that this was not the normal size etc. By this time my burrito was stone cold and totally dry inside with very tough and hard to chew flank steak, black beans and a lot rice rolled up in a stale dry tomato flour wrap. (Flank steak is supposed to be marinated for tenderness, this was not). Thank God it came with something like what must pass for salsa. I poured that in and it made it somewhat edible. After we finished our food out comes the waitress with another piece of chicken. Hey a week late and several euro dollars short. My co worker ordered a desert. Yes I think he was tempting fate here. Two small deep fried flour wraps with apples inside with vanilla ice cream. Instead of the wraps being flakey and crispy they were chewy and all he had was spoon. Then we had to wait for a confusing eternity to pay our bill. All during this time we were enduring back to back songs of Bjork at an earspliting level. They had turned the speakers up during our meal. Hey this place would be a good place to interrogate terrorists! Just make em eat here! Geeze this place would be okay for billards and a beer, but nothing else. Just thought people need to be forewarned.
