Berlin is the capital city of Germany and is one of the 16 States of the Federal Republic of Germany. Berlin has a densely populated city and also is the largest city in Germany. German is the major language in Berlin but English and French are spoken popularly in this place. However, there are some words in Berlin that differ from regular German, especially in former East Berlin; the language preserved a certain level of dialect.
